Milwaukee Does Hoodie
The Milwaukee Does, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, were a charter team in the Women's Professional Basketball League. They played the league's first game on December 9, 1978, losing 92-87 to the Chicago Hustle before 7,824 fans at the MECCA.
The Does finished last in their division in both seasons, going 11-23 in 1978-79 with five coaches along the way. Debts piled up, ownership changed hands, and players went unpaid. A final attempt to continue as the Milwaukee Express never posted the league's bond, and the team shut down on September 30, 1980.
