The Denver Avalanche, based in Denver, Colorado, played two seasons, 1980-81 and 1981-82, in the top indoor soccer league in the US. Home games were at McNichols Sports Arena, and the first one drew 10,656.

Dave Clements was named Coach of the Year in 1981-82 despite a 19-25 record. The money ran out that spring. The league left the team off the next schedule, and in June 1983 its assets went to investors in Tacoma, Washington.
