Alberta Dusters
The Alberta Dusters, based in Lethbridge, Alberta, played two seasons in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), from 1980 to 1982. Owner Jack Molcak first looked into a proposed Canadian pro league in the spring of 1980. That league never got started, so the team joined the CBA, which was then expanding well beyond its Pennsylvania roots.
The Dusters played at the Canada Games Sportsplex in Lethbridge. They went 11-31 in 1980-81 and 12-34 in 1981-82. They won no titles.
After the second season the franchise left Lethbridge for Las Vegas under new ownership and became the Las Vegas Silvers. It later moved again, to Albuquerque, and folded in 1985.
