Jersey Shore Bullets
The Jersey Shore Bullets, based on the Jersey Shore in New Jersey, began as the Hazleton Bullets of Pennsylvania in the Eastern Basketball Association. The team moved to the Shore area during 1976-77 and finished with a 3-18 record. It played at Neptune High School and then at Red Bank Regional High School.
In 1977-78 the Bullets went 20-11 and lost in the semifinals to Wilkes-Barre. That season the league added an Alaska team and began calling itself the Continental Basketball Association. For 1978-79 the Bullets moved into Asbury Park Convention Hall, on the boardwalk, and went 22-26.
That was the last season on record for the team. Sources disagree on whether it folded or announced a move to Syracuse, New York.
