Easton Madisons

The Easton Madisons, based in Easton, Pennsylvania, played in the Eastern Professional Basketball League (EPBL), a minor league of small-city teams that later became the Eastern Basketball Association. They played from 1956-57 to 1960-61. The team's name sometimes appears as the Easton-Phillipsburg Madisons, after the New Jersey town across the Delaware River.

Records by season were 10-19, 18-11, 17-11, 21-7 and 11-16. The 1959-60 team finished first at 21-7 and won the league title over the Baltimore Bullets. Hal Lear, who led Temple to the Final Four in 1956, was the Madisons' top scorer in several seasons. Wally Choice, a former Indiana player, was also on the roster.

The record on why the team ended is thin. Statistical sources show the last season as 1960-61, an 11-16 year.
