Triple Cities Flyers

The Triple Cities Flyers, based in Binghamton, New York, were a travelling franchise of the Eastern Basketball Association, whose early seasons were played under the Eastern Professional Basketball League name. The franchise began as the New Haven Elms in 1965-66, when it went 8-20 under coach Sam Bender.

In 1967-68 it became the Bridgeport Flyers. After a 1-11 start it moved to Binghamton and finished seventh. Rosters from 1968-69 list the team as the Triple Cities or Tri-Cities Flyers. It finished fifth in the West Division that year and eighth in 1969-70, without reaching the playoffs.

In 1970-71 the Flyers began 1-6, and crowds shrank. The team moved to Trenton, New Jersey, and finished as the Pat Pavers at 6-22. Records show the Pat Pavers in Trenton in 1971-72 and as the Hamilton Pat Pavers into 1973-74, but sources disagree about whether the franchise ended in 1971.
