Albuquerque Silvers

The Albuquerque Silvers, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) from 1983 to 1985. The franchise began as the Alberta Dusters in Lethbridge, then became the Las Vegas Silvers in 1982. Its owners there did not meet their financial obligations to the league, and the CBA relocated the team to Albuquerque on February 10, 1983.

Norm Ellenberger, a former University of New Mexico coach, ran the bench. P. Patrick McKernan, who also headed the city's Pacific Coast League baseball club, served as president and general manager.

The Silvers went 17-27 in 1982-83, 11-33 in 1983-84 and 18-30 in 1984-85. They missed the playoffs each year, and the franchise folded in 1985. That makes 29 wins across the two full seasons in New Mexico.
